Berns

Berns is a classic venue in the capital of Sweden that you might associate more with party and food.
Stayed at the hotel during a staycation and a little Friday night party session and had no real expectations.

Booked a suite, and was pleasantly surprised by both the size and the view. Marlene Dietrich suite is a room that is situated high up overlooking Berzelii Park; the room has plenty of space and tasteful details.

It can be a little tricky to find the room, but this only raises the experience, book and you will understand what I mean;)

A lovely hotel that I would love to return to, but never again on a weekend, I could hear the nightclub that closes around 3:00 a.m. through the walls and earplugs.

Plus

  • Great breakfast

  • Nice view from the room

  • Comfortable bedsheets

  • The Malene Dietrich suite si one of the coolest rooms in Stockholm

Minus

  • The nightclub closes at 3 a.m. on weekends, and can be heard through the walls into the room

Tips

  • If you are planning a party or an event, there are two perfect venues inside Berns: the Red Room and the Mirror Hall. I booked the Res Room a couple of years ago when I arranged my annual poker tournament. Excellent service, perfect cocktails. Can highly recommend an event at Berns.

rating

Hard to rate Berns, although I was somewhat dissatisfied with the noise, still think that the lovely room and my previous visit weighs up.

I can't recommend staying here for a weekend, but on a weekday you will have a great time, especially in Marlene Dietrich suite. 4/5
