Hotel Wailea
Fantastic accommodation, in a fantastic area on a stunning island. The hotel is located in the south of Maui, about 30 minutes drive from the airport.
Hotel Wailea will not disappoint you in any way. Tripadvisor ranks it as one of the top 25 hotels in the United States, with a fantastic restaurant that is ranked as one of the 100 most romantic ones. Trust me it will be difficult for you to forget the accommodation in both body and soul.
The hotel is located up on a mountain top and therefore lacks direct connection to the beach, but do not fear! The hotel's luxurious Tesla X cars drive you free of charge down the mountain to Wailea Beach, which is shared with the Four Seasons luxury hotel. It is also possible to book or call for a pickup.
Here you will find peace, swimming in a beautiful pool area, experiencing amazing sunsets and enjoying the swinging palm trees of Hawaii.
Since my last visit, the hotel has completed a $25 million renovation and was recognized as one of the world's 100 best hotels at the Travel & Leisure World's Best Award in 2018.

Renting a car and travelling around the island one day is a must, beautiful roads and a great road trip. Be careful if you decide to go around the whole island, on the west side, the roads become very narrow and you need to be an experienced driver

After 10 P.M the island goes to sleep, this is not an island for the party people.

Add some extra dollars for an ocean view room, then call and thank me when you get home.

Maui is one of my absolute favourite destinations, and this Hotel has a nice vibe. I can't wait to get back and see what happened after the renovation, my rating for this one is a solid 5/5.
