Barrels

Burgers

Barrels can be found in the parts of Stockholm called Norrmalm, Södermalm and Old Town. A fantastic burger, though, at a juicy price for lunch, but cheap for dinner.

My favourite is a double No 1, -dijon + sweet potato fries and aioli dip!

Bonnie's

Fancy dinner

A Next level dinner you will find close to Berzelii Park at the Bank Hotel in the restaurant called Bonnie's.

Service is in the main focus and you are guaranteed a food experience beyond the ordinary. The atmosphere is, according to me, one of the most luxurious in town.
Don't miss the chocolate pig for dessert;)

City Sallad

Lunch

At Skeppsbron 6 in Old Town, you will find my favourite salad place in Stockholm.
A very fresh and delicious salad and you will not leave hungry.

My two favourites are Hot Beef or Chicken with Cashew Nuts. You must try it to understand the hype!

cok-döner

Çok

Döner kebab

Growing up in the kebab Mecca of Sweden, Södertälje has made me allergic to bad kebabs!
One of the few places that will receive my approval in Stockholm is Cok, located at Hornsbergs Strand.

Chose a döner or an iskender plate with fries it's a guaranteed food coma, trust me.

kalf-&-hansen.jpeg

Kalf & Hansen

Organic

Stockholm's best Nordic fast food with focus on sustainability.

Fast, healthy and delicious.
Now with three restaurants in Stockholm, but I prefer to visit the one at Mariatorget.

I always choose the dish "Stockholm" with meat, fish or vegan meatballs served with hot vegetables + aioli.

kott-och-fiskbaren.png

Kött & Fiskbaren

Meat

If you visit the restaurant for a date then share a Cote de Boeuf for 80 Euro, choose lots of sides, a few nice cocktails and the evening is saved.

You can find Kött & Fiskbaren on gamla brogatan near the central station.

M Seger

Lunch

I have always been weak for home cooked Swedish food, and no one does it better than M Seger in Östermalmshallen.

Take-out meatballs, beef steaks, pyttipanna or raggmunk are just some of the choices.

MGL Sushi

Sushi

I'm still a beginner when it comes to Sushi, but my favourite place in Stockholm is undoubtedly MGL Sushi that is located at Liljeholmskajen.

The grilled salmon nigiri is the best, but also deep-fried salmon roll or deep-fried spicy tuna roll end up on my plate.

Mesh

Lunch

In Östermalmshallen you will find the best wrap in Stockholm and my first "lunch love" in our beautiful capital.

There are many tasty choices, but Bombay is my favourite, add a juice of freshly squeezed orange/strawberry.

minako-odenplan.jpg

Minako Odenplan

Sushi

For the Sushi expert, I can recommend Minako at Odenplan. Book a seat at the bar and just pay.

The chef Yoshi decides what you are going to eat so this is nothing for the control freak.

Expect the finest ingredients and sushi of high class.

noi.jpeg

Noi

Swedish

Inside Nobis Hotel's premises at Norrmalmstorg you will find the restaurant NOI.

Great acoustics even at a high noise level. I recommend you to ask for a round table if you are four.
Lots of tasty dishes on the menu, the favourite is steak on a salt stone, and the ice cream party for dessert.

Seafood Dish

Paganini

Lunch

It is challenging to navigate in Old town if you are looking for a tasty lunch and not a tourist trap.

Paganini is an affordable alternative with great food and fantastic bread while you wait for the food.
Mostly with a wide selection during lunch and with something for everyone.

Pane Vino

Pasta

Pane Vino can be found by the entrance of the Zinkensdamm subway station.

I always go for the signature dish, the Fettuccine Pane Vino (see picture). Without a doubt the best pasta dish in Stockholm's! Ask for an extra large portion if you are hungry (+ $3).

The staff is fantastic and super friendly.

phils-burger.PNG

Phil's Burgers

Burgers

With eight restaurants in Stockholm, they are close to wherever you are.

I have no favourite here; I think most of the burgers work perfectly fine!

The picture shows a limited burger called Crispy Swiss, so hurry if you want to try it out!

rich-stockholm.jpg

Riche

Swedish meatballs

What would a food guide in Stockholm be without the national dish meatballs?
At Birger Jarlsgatan 4 and Riche, the Swedish dish is served in the best way possible and is one of two places in Stockholm that serve the best ones according to me.
Riche, however, is better suited for a pre-party dinner than a quiet lunch.

supper-gården

Supper

Tapas

In the winter you will find Supper at Tegnérgatan 27 and in the summer at Norra bantorget. You can also find the restaurant in Åre and Visby.

At Supper, you eat luxurious tapas and superb cocktails. Don't miss their sensational sweet potato fries and the excellent Mojito pitcher.

vae-de-ville.jpg

Vau de Ville

Swedish meatballs

Stockholm's new king in terms of meatballs is called Vau de Ville and is located in the middle of Norrmalmstorg.

Don't expect to leave the restaurant hungry when ordering meatballs with potato puree and lingonberries.
